Axwell Λ Ingrosso – Can’t Hold Us Down [Def Jam Recordings]

It seems as though the dance music industry has its own circle of life, with groups and trends hoping to last as long as possible, and cash in while they are at it. One of those groups was the long-dominant trio known as the Swedish House Mafia, whose long and winding finale tour lead fans to believe that each of the members would be heading their own separate ways. That didn’t exactly happen, as ⅔ of the trio remains together with their eyes set on the full release of their studio album. Axwell Λ Ingrosso teamed up almost a year ago when the final tour was announced to produce “We Come, We Rave, We Love,” a bittersweet anthem that became the intro edit in every OLT set. With the success of that track as a free download, the first promotional single off of their album “This Time We Can’t Go Home” is an electro smash known as “Can’t Hold Us Down”. A robotic sounding vocal reciting various phrases including the tracks name sets the scene, but the real madness gets going once the Swedes bring us to the buildup. Once there, a filtered version of the drop starts to fade in, before hitting full blast with the necessary madness that we would expect from Axwell Λ Ingrosso.
