Hardwell & Chris Jones – Young Again [October 20 – Revealed Recordings]
For what has felt like an eternity, Hardwell, the world’s #1 DJ, has dropped tantalizing hints regarding his first ever studio album. The full album supposedly coming in early 2015, and now we have our first concrete confirmation of a track on the album. Hardwell On Air 188 served as the premiere for “Young Again,” and announced at the track features British vocalist Chris Jones. While revealing very little else about his album, it is a promising development for fans everywhere to hear the first promotional single. Hardwell has kept the track completely under wraps, only playing it once at Ultra Japan in September. The world will continue to wait for the entire album, but “Young Again” Will drop on October 20 via Revealed Recordings.
The industry has seen the electro side of Hardwell‘s productions through tracks like “Cobra” and “Everybody Is In The Place,” but now the Dutchman returns to his melodic side. Just like in “Dare You,” Hardwell begins the break with a guitar, opting for a more acoustic sound. Chris Jones immediately begins to sing as the preview starts, and cruises emotionally through his first verse. As he hits the chorus, the guitar begins to fade away, being replaced by piano and subtle synths. He finishes the chorus, and soon another sublime Hardwell melody takes over the soundscape. This melody builds from a simple pluck into the lead synth for yet another powerful drop, and a tempting first listen for what the Hardwell album will bring to the table.
Grab “Young Again” when it drops via Revealed Recordings on October 20. Enjoy!
