Dyro feat. Dynamite MC – Against All Odds [October 27 – WOLV Records]

Do you feel a ghost? No, we’re not accusing anybody of using ghost producers, but rather commenting on the former working title of this current banger. Now that the dust is cleared, it is very clear to everybody that this track is yet another fantastic production to come out of the studio of Dyro. Ever since the Dutchman split up from Revealed Recordings in search of his own label, Dyro and WOLV Records have pumped out nothing but greatness. The third track on the new label’s catalog once more comes in from last year’s highest entry into the DJ Mag Top 100, as Dyro comes in solo (without Oliver Heldens) on “Against All Odds”. By solo, we mean on the production front, since Dynamite MC is featured on the track as a vocalist. “Against All Odds” was tested as an instrumental cut by Hardwell during the second week of the Tomorrowland festival in Belgium, and received it’s official vocal debut when Dyro dropped the track at Sensation Into The Wild in Russia back in June. The full version is set to drop on the newly minted WOLV Recordings on October 27.

When the track was first played, a myriad of people considered the track to be a collaboration with future house mastermind Oliver Heldens. As the title clearly gives away, it’s actually a solo track, but the suspicion was aided by the sound of a future house bassline, and ever so slightly by the synth choices and layering style throughout the drop. One of the reasons that “Against All Odds” has become one of the most sought-after ID tracks of the 2014 festival season is it’s insatiable energy throughout. From melody, to buildup, to drop, Dyro keeps his foot on the gas pedal throughout to bring us one of his hottest tracks since “Leprechauns & Unicorns”. To create even further hype, he invited London-based rapper Dynamite MC to add a rap verse over the second break, and provide countdowns before the first and second drops. All in all, “Against All Odds” this is very favorable odds to climb the charts to #1 once it drops.
