W&W & Headhunterz – We Control The Sound [Coming Soon – Ultra/Mainstage]
Every well-received piece of art deserves a reprise, and today we are bringing you one of the biggest sophomore collaborations against his industry has ever seen. The scene was taken by storm when trance-turned-house duo W&W joined forces in the studio with one of the most recognizable faces in the hardstyle industry, Headhunterz. Their track together was a hardstyle-electro fusion coming in at 132 BPM titled “Shocker,” and it was certainly a success seeing as it peaked at #11 on the Beatport overall Top 100 chart. Thankfully for the music community, the Dutchmen have decided to link up once again for the sequel piece, known as “We Control The Sound”. All three were present when the track received its grand unveiling at the world-famous Tomorrowland festival in Belgium this summer, and now through a collaboration of Ultra Records and Mainstage Music, the track will be released very soon.
From what we can tell, the BPM on “We Control The Sound” has returned back to 128. Even if the tempo is much slower, the infectious energy that allowed “Shocker” to be played all over the world makes another appearance throughout this tune. The melody begins as a mellow set of plucks underneath an imposing vocal sample. As the vocals continue, the melody only grows stronger as sounds are layered until they reach their final intended sound. There is so much energy infused into the chord progression, and the addition of orchestral sounds and hardstyle kicks throughout the melody only sets the bar for the drop higher. W&W and Headhunterz fail to disappoint again, as the hybrid between a big-room kick and nasty hardstyle synths once again prove to be the recipe for a dance floor banger.
There is no release date for “We Control The Sound,” so stay tuned. Enjoy!
