David Guetta – Dangerous (David Guetta Banging Remix) [What A Music]
David Guetta’s “David Guetta Banging Remix” of Dangerous is what you’ve come to expect from the industry legend. First, I’ll start with the good:
It’s produced well, as always. The mixing is well done, the tone on the synths are nice, and things tend to sound great through most speaker systems. I am a particularly big fan of the way the synths sound in the breakdown, up until the annoying lead synths pops in with an unimaginative riff. For an energy-building electro house track, it does the job and I’m sure it will sound great at festivals.
Now for the bad. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again, these tracks all sound the same. Especially Guetta’s nowadays. The track lacks imagination, and continues to overuse certain common themes and instruments in the genre. This would be better if the melody was more creative, but unfortunately it is not. For a festival that’s fine because you’re there to hang out with your friends and have a good time, but musically it’s a letdown. I think the problem is that electro house has been done the same way far too much. People are running out of ideas and are now releasing tracks just for the sake of having a new track to make money off of. There are plenty of David Guetta tracks I really enjoy, but for a long time now things have just not been up to snuff.
