Joey Dale – Access Denied [October 27 – DOORN Records]
Even if the festival season heads in doors as the world-famous Amsterdam Dance Event approaches, the tunes will continue to stay hotter than ever. One of the men working continuously to maintain the heat is Joey Dale, a young Dutchman named as one to watch by plenty of the industry’s finest. He got his start with releases through Dim Mak Records, and has now grown his fame with his solo tracks “Watcha Called Me,” “About The Drop Out,” and his world-famous collaboration with Hardwell known as “Arcadia”. Fresh off of a collaboration with DVBBS, he brings his solo talents to the DOORN Records imprint with “Access Denied”. After receiving it’s official radio debut from label boss Sander van Doorn last Friday, “Access Denied” is scheduled for full release on October 27.
Throughout the course of “Access Denied,” Joey Dale does not deviate from his traditional big-room formula by a single centimeter. He is able to once again bring in a creative but high-octane melody to the track, while not making the track too much of a progressive house song. The melody almost feels like an electric guitar riff, which is certainly a potent source of energy throughout the break. This sound is chopped into a rather dynamic section with the use of syncopated percussion and gated synths. The melody comes back together as the break turns to build, and yet another pounding Joey Dale drop approaches. He is able to work his signature combination of an absolutely pounding kick and fat bassline with intricate percussion stabs to create yet another banger with “Access Denied”
Grab “Access Denied” from Joey Dale when it drops on October 27 through DOORN Records. Until then, enjoy by cranking up this preview!
