Marnik – Momentum [Revealed Recordings]

Revealed Recordings has always done a fantastic job when searching for new talent. They have done an even better job this summer, as they have curated various EP’s that give younger talents and other artists an opportunity to release on one of the world’s biggest labels. This time, another track comes off of the Revealed Vol. 5 compilation in the form of “Momentum,” by Italian duo Marnik. The track is their first-ever offering through the label, and they have continued to bring their firepower after getting their name out through Dim Mak Records. “Momentum” has some of the more awesome synths around, and they are put to perfect use in both the melody and the drop. The chord progression in the melody has absolutely no rivals in any track released so far this summer, and probably possesses one of the most energetic sounds of any tracks released so far in 2014. The drop has a high-octane sound to it that will certainly rock a dance floor, and the chords are huge (even if they slightly resemble the progression of “Lethal Industry”). Marnik has been making a name for themselves with their recent big releases, and “Momentum” is just another addition to a certainly promising discography.
