Katy Perry – Dark Horse (Coaster Remix)

So who is Coaster? Check the Soundcloud account and you’ll see that he has just under 5,000 followers, yet many of his tracks have well over 50,000 plays. Not bad. Well as it turns out Coaster is actually another name that well known trap and big room producer Ookay works under and he’s doing some crazy good work under this alias that has somehow flown under the radar. The Coaster remix of “Dark Horse” by Katy Perry is very reminiscent of a Flume remix and is pretty different from what you would expect from Ookay.

I knew Ookay was good, but I had no idea he was this versatile and he really shows off his varied skill set as a producer with this one. The emphasis here is more on the melody and other musical components rather than in your face bass which is a refreshing change. After a while the generic four to the floor sound gets old and this is a really different sound that will definitely have you grooving.
