Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike vs. W&W – Waves (Tomorrowland 2014 Anthem) [Coming Soon – Label TBA]
With a little inside information, and a little bit of careful listening, we’ve got a big exclusive scoop to share today! Recently, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike uploaded a short clip to their SoundCloud titled under the super-ambiguous “ID – ID” title. This track will not become a mystery, however, since that track is actually their collaboration with Dutch trance-turned-house duo W&W. The track is supposedly going to be called “Waves,” and is set to fill the role of the Tomorrowland 2014 anthem track. There is no official release date or label scheduled, but concept artworks show Spinnin’ Records, but one cannot rule out Smash The House or Mainstage Music. An official announcement is bound to come in the next few days, seeing as they should not have Tomorrowland without an anthem.
W&W played this track during their Ultra Europe set in Split, Croatia, and introduced it as “[their] new track with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike“. “Waves” makes good use of powerful synths from start to finish, and should be classified as more of a standard electro house track than just a simple big room creation. The synths used are more creative, and actually detail a strong effort from the two Belgians and the two Dutchmen. The working title of “Waves” is certainly unofficial, but makes sense since this tune will make waves in any set its played in. Stay tuned, though, we will be sure to keep everyone updated about the release date, label, and the authenticity of the track’s name.
Like we mentioned, more information is coming. Stay tuned!
