Voting for 2014 DJ Mag Top 100 Begins
It’s that time of year again! As the festival season has DJs and performers busier than ever, the time also serves another purpose: campaign season. Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram will be abuzz with most DJs advertising in order to improve their standing on the top 100 chart, or just make their first entrance. There are plenty of questions surrounding this year’s poll, including who will make the top 10, will the house DJs continue to dominate, and can anyone unseat Hardwell in the #1 position. As well, fans and DJs alike look forward to seeing 2014’s highest entry (which Dyro accomplished at #30 last year), and see who will make the biggest jump compared to the 2013 poll.
On another note, while most DJs promote themselves or seem indifferent regarding the contest, there are a few that voice their displeasure about the poll. Those who chose to satirize the contest included Mat Zo, Diplo, and also everyone’s favorite Tweeter, deadmau5.
