Sultan + Ned Shepard vs. The Boxer Rebellion – Keep Moving [July 14 – Protocol Recordings]
The Protocol Recordings Miami Reboot compilation from the WMC gave a huge sneak preview into the label’s future catalog, and one of the tracks that made its first appearance in radio edit form has now come to light for its official extended release. “Keep Moving” is a sweet collision of genres with Canadian duo Sultan + Ned Shepard, and British indie band The Boxer Rebellion. Label boss Nicky Romero and Thomas Gold are both fans of the tune, and have supported in their recent radio shows. The second track off of the aforementioned Miami compilation is set for release on July 14.
The influences on “Keep Moving” are the epitome of a perfect collaboration, as the progressive house stylings that have brought Sultan + Ned Shepard success match the alternative rock sound that has powered The Boxer Rebellion to their success. A subtle blend of chords makes up the bottom line, as vocals take over for the top. This sound continues for a few bars, and soon the chords build louder as the chorus is reached. The sheer power of “Keep Moving” is evident as dance music instrumental works in perfect harmony with alternative rock vocals build up towards the on-coming drop. Progressive bliss reigns supreme as the drop gets going on “Keep Moving,” and it shows the beautiful musical camaraderie between Sultan + Ned Shepard and The Boxer Rebellion.
Grab “Keep Moving” from Sultan + Ned Shepard and The Boxer Rebellion when it drops July 14 on Protocol Recordings. Enjoy!
