Ummet Ozcan – SMASH! [Spinnin’ Records]

Spinnin’ Records keeps thinking that they can trick us by only posting song titles without artists. The last two have clearly been the sound of Ummet Ozcan, but we have no problem with that. This time, the trance-turned-house sensation has brought yet another banger to dance music’s biggest label in the form of “SMASH!”. The formula that the Dutchman uses is just about as foolproof as it gets, as he combines his typical knack for a great melody alongside wonderful synth-work and layering. Another cool part about “SMASH!” is the track’s effectiveness in both the break and the drop because the energy never drops off between each different part. The power of well-placed vocal samples also aids in the tracks banger status, and “SMASH!” does not disappoint from start to finish. Definitely a good tune to blast from speakers big or small, but preferably of the festival size.
