Hardwell & Joey Dale feat. Luciana – Arcadia [July 7 – Revealed Recordings]
Hardwell has always had a good feel for who’s the next big name from the youth movement to sign onto his Revealed Recordings label. Successes have included the likes of Dannic, Dyro, and Jordy Dazz, and he continues to groom names like Julian Calor and Joey Dale for further successes. Hardwell has continued his past trend of collaborating with his incoming young artists as he unites with Joey Dale and vocalist Luciana for “Arcadia”. The successes of Hardwell speak for themselves, as hits like “Spaceman,” “Apollo,” and “Everybody Is In The Place” have proven to be essential picks for peak-time DJ sets. Joey Dale has introduced himself to the mainstream dance music sphere with his formidable festival tunes like “Watcha Called Me” and “About The Drop Out”. The voice of Luciana has graced tracks like “We Own The Night” by Tiësto and Wolfgang Gartner, and is easily recognizable to most dance music fans. “Arcadia” has been circulating since Ultra Music Festival in March, and can be yours on July 7.
The madness gets underway with a mesmerizing orchestral chord base, which sets a rather mysterious vibe for the beginning. Luciana‘s vocals take over on the top line, and as she progresses, more and more elements of the melody come into the foreground. That hands-in-the-air moment really gets going when Luciana hits the chorus, and thats when Hardwell and Joey Dale crank the instrumental up to full blast. The two Dutchmen don’t waste very much time after the chorus comes to a close, using just 15 seconds to build up to the drop. After a “You all wanna go hard, or what?” sample, the drop gets going in high gear. It’s a sweet fusion of Hardwell‘s melodic prowess and Joey Dale‘s percussive knowhow, and “Arcadia” gets on done on stages big and small.
Thankfully, the full version of “Arcadia” will be available on July 7. Until then, enjoy!
