Deorro & J-Trick – Rambo (Hardwell Edit) [June 9 – Revealed Recordings]
Melbourne house has been growing tremendously as a genre, and its producers have expanded well past the boundaries of Australia. Revealed Recordings has promoted one of those non-Australian bounce producers in the past, when they signed “Yee” by Deorro. Now, Deorro is back in the fold on Revealed, this time to release a collaboration with an actual Australian, J-Trick. “Rambo” has been floating around in sets since October 2013, and now it has officially surfaced with an edit from Hardwell. “Rambo (Hardwell Edit)” has received plenty of airtime on the radio shows recently, with 3LAU, R3hab, and Bassjackers serving as a few of the track’s earliest supporters. The Hardwell edit of “Rambo” is set to drop on June 9.
The last time Hardwell made an edit, his main contribution was the melody in the second break. The same rings true on “Rambo,” since the signature Hardwell synths are integral to the composition of the melody. The energy climbs a few levels once a few claps are added, since that encourages some fan interaction. This leads into a more dynamic sounding feel as the melody comes together with that loud festival sound. As the buildup comes into play, synths and percussion work together in harmony to make the energy go through the roof. A quick “let’s get f-ckin’ crazy” sample precedes the drop, and then the sheer power of Deorro and J-Trick take over. Absolutely wild synth leads take over the scene, and a bouncy bassline really pulls “Rambo” together.
Grab “Rambo (Hardwell Edit)” when it drops on June 9. Enjoy!
