DJ Tennis – Local [Life And Death]
Tennis’s “Local” is a diverse dance album featuring tracks that range from electronica to a very interesting type of deep house. Each piece of music is diverse, and interesting, with melodic synths sometimes taking a front-seat or other times sitting back and letting bass and percussion take the reigns. However, percussion is a standard focus in this EP and Tennis does it quite well. With many different instruments using many different tones, there is a lot of variation and also a lot of style built within each track. Not only that but Tennis does a good job of using effects to create breaks between ideas and stanzas. Listen to this EP and decide for yourself.
