Calippo – Taking Over EP [Enormous Tunes]

The last few months have been very successful for Swiss producer Calippo. The man behind many huge Deep House tunes created some big tunes and created loads of buzz around himself. Oliver Heldens, Danny Howard and Pete Tong are just a few supporting dj’s that highlighted Calippo’s tracks in their Radioshows, mixtapes or livesets. It shows the reputation of Calippo, who is now back with a three-track ‘Taking Over EP’ on Enormous Tunes.

The tracks in the package are: ‘Taking Over’, ‘Need A Friend’ & ‘Get Me’. We’ll start with the leadsingle of the track. Calippo is a master in putting some seriously nice vibes in his track and it’s the basis of ‘Taking Over’ as well. The slow break, with some strong claps, upcoming vocals and a good melody, prepares perfectly for the very grooving climax, that rocks. ‘Need A Friend’ also has some perfect vocals, that just work in the track. Take that and the killing climax and you’ve got another masterpiece. ‘Get Me’ is my personal favorite. The climax contains something unique and has just the right tune to make this track massive!
