DVBBS & MOTi – This Is Dirty [April 14 – Musical Freedom Records]
The world is about to be graced by a clash of big-room talent that is unparalleled so far in 2014. The crew at Tiësto‘s Musical Freedom label has successfully facilitated another gigantic collaboration, this time combining the talents of Canadian duo DVBBS and Dutch solo artist MOTi for the imprint’s next release. Their track together is titled “This Is Dirty,” and is set to follow “Krakatoa” from Carnage and Junkie Kid. With support now from Martin Garrix, MAKJ, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, “This Is Dirty” will be available on April 14.
The melody is another round of triplets madness, and this has been the specialty of DVBBS. It only lasts about 30 seconds too, since the buildup begins just about right away. The vocal sample from which the song gets its title is chopped and looped throughout the buildup. It then finally gets played out in its entirety, and the drop ensues. The familiar pounding baseline from MOTi is complemented by triplet stabs and some pretty sweet percussion.
“This Is Dirty” will be available soon, April 14, on Musical Freedom Records. Enjoy!
