deadmau5 Replaces Avicii At Ultra Music Festival
After illness caused Avicii to miss his set at his own Avicii Hotel event at the SLS South Beach hotel, the Swedish superstar DJ was dealt another blow today. He will be unable to perform at this year’s Ultra Music Festival due to the very same illness that kept him from going behind the decks last night. Fans who were looking forward to seeing Avicii now have something new and unexpected to look forward to, since Canadian super-producer deadmau5 has now been announced as the replacement for Avicii.
Unfortunately, health issues will prevent @Avicii from performing at #ULTRA2014. The entire team wishes him a speedy recovery

This marks the second reshuffling of the Ultra lineup, as The Chainsmokers and Showtek combined to fill in the mainstage slot that Laidback Luke vacated in order to be with his wife, Gina Turner, after her water broke earlier than expected. You can catch deadmau5 as he closes down the mainstage on Saturday starting at 11:00 PM.
