Monkey Safari – Watching the Stars EP [Monaberry]
Monkey Safari’s new EP is absolutely top notch deep house. Combining creative melodies, well-produced percussion, and great bass-lines, this EP will keep you grooving for the week. It even includes a remix by Super Flu who will always be dear in my heart for an incredible remix of Format:B’s track “Gospel”. I would like to emphasize the quality of percussion in this release as it has a very well done analog sound that pushes the tracks into a new level of sound. Even Super Flu uses percussion to great effect and I like the synths used in the remix as well. Their tone is definitely powerful, but is mixed well within the track to make sure it doesn’t overpower other instruments. Give this EP a listen and if you’re a fan, grab it off Beatport below.
