Event Recap: Don’t Let Daddy Know @ Ziggo Dome
Last week it was finally there, Don’t Let Daddy Know in the Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam. The event started in Ibiza last summer, had their stage on the Mysteryland Festival in the Netherlands and always provided the visitors with an awesome night. You can guess how happy we were when we heard about the DLDK-festival in the Ziggo Dome. We visited the event with high expectations and they didn’t let us down for a single second.

Location
The Dutch Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam is one of the biggest venues in the Netherlands. Beyonce, Drake, Avicii, Tiësto and Calvin Harris are just a few artists that chose the Ziggo Dome as their host. It’s also one of the biggest and most modern hosts for events and the exterior is covered with 840.000 led lamps, that can project all kinds of images. The venue was in every way perfect for such a big event as DLDK and made the party even better.
Line Up
Last summer we’ve seen some big artists visiting Don’t Let Daddy Know, but this time they took things to a whole new level. Jordy Dazz, Sem Vox, Showtek, Tommy Trash, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Sander van Doorn and DVBBS. With those names, DLDK provided some strong variation. DVBBS, for example, played their tracks with almost too much energy, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike released some big red and white balloons, while Tommy Trash showed his headbanging skills and couldn’t keep his head still. Every dj brought their own style and in that way they delivered something special for everyone.
Organisation
With such a big event, it is important to make sure everything is arranged in the right way. There was more than enough food and drinks (provided by the Ziggo Dome), there was enough security in case things would go wrong and they did their best to make every visitors enjoy their evening. During the night we have seen zero problems and thanks to the organisation everyone had a very good time. They showed once again why the DLDK-formula was so strong and we couldn’t wish for a better night.
Audience
People from all over the world flew over to Amsterdam and we have seen a big amount of different flags in the audience. Canada, United Kingdom, Belgian, these are just a few examples. All the visitors were there to have an absolutely crazy night and they played their part in it with their good vibe. They kept on jumping on the insane drops and refused to slow down for a single second. Even if they were dancing a little bit too heavy, they could always take a quick rest on one of the chairs. I must admit I haven’t seen a much more enthusiastic audience at the events we attended.
Conclusion
What do you get when you combine one of the biggest and newest venues in Holland with one of the biggest lineup available, a perfect organisation and a highly motivated audience? You might already guessed the right answer; a perfect night. We couldn’t find any negative details and had a blast from the first second we arrived. We want to thank Don’t Let Daddy Know and the Media Nanny for giving us the possibility to visit this event; we didn’t want to miss it!
