Vicetone feat. Chloe Angelides – White Lies [March 24 – Protocol Recordings]
Protocol Recordings has definitely struck gold with their discovery of Vicetone. The duo had been incredibly successful with a series of unofficial remixes online, but they have since moved to release official remixes for Krewella, and have already dropped their single debut on Protocol Recordings late in 2013 with “Tremble”. Now, they have linked up with vocalist Chloe Angelides to present “White Lies,” a track that will be available on March 24.
Each of the two artists works to their strongpoint in the break, as Vicetone lays down an orchestral melody, while Chloe Angelides dexterously handles the top line with her smooth vocals. The synths begin to fade in from the background as Angelides hits the chorus, and soon we find ourselves in the thick of the buildup. A vocal loop is blended perfectly with rolling snares, and soon a reverse reverb gets the drop underway. The drop features the same razor sharp synth that made “Tremble” a success, and it looks as though Vicetone and Chloe Angelides have found themselves a hit as festival season is getting hot and heavy.
This collaboration will drop on March 24. Until then, enjoy the preview!
