Ricky Vaughn – Viva La Ricky EP (Dance Rebels Exclusive)
March 25th is an important day because underground trap and moombah producer Ricky Vaughn will be dropping the Viva La Ricky EP as a free download. The EP will also be accompanied with a brief tour in Central America.
The new project consists of four tracks with various tempos, styles, and genres, which he describes as ‘RV Club’. The first track is called “Jahan On Me…”, an accidental dedication to Krewella’s Jahan that blends Moombahton, Hip Hop and Bollywood all into one song. Track two is called “Mis Curenos (My Horns)”, an uptempo beat that brings Latin Merengue elements into the mix with fat 808 drums. Track three is called “Prendelo”, a Moombahton-esque anthem track featuring an uplifting feminine charged spoken word poem from a NY female poet. Last, but not least “Jumpin” ft. Maxx & EJ, is a booty bass banger filled tribal drums and a bunch of reggae vocal cuts. I was thoroughly impressed with the eclectic sounds, but take a listen for yourself.
