Protocol Recordings Announces “Colors” Remix Contest
Just a few weeks ago, Nicky Romero‘s Protocol Recordings released “Colors” to great success and support. Mr. Romero himself described the track, saying, “The idea is that… everybody is equal and we should respect one another, regardless of race or where we come from.” The track was a huge collaboration between Tritonal, Paris Blohm, and vocalist Sterling Fox. The label has now partnered with Beatport Play to sponsor a worldwide remix contest for “Colors”. The stems are available for download from the contest’s launch page, and the prizes available are pretty stunning. To start, you win access to the Sounds to Sample Elements packages online, which are royalty-free samples that can be used in productions. Next up, Monster Cable will give you a full starter pack to get your producing or DJ setup fully hooked up. Monster Cable isn’t done there: you get two sets of headphones, the DNA Pro for the studio, and the Ncredible Npulse model to wear behind the decks. Most of all, your remix will get released on Protocol Recordings to the entire world. So, fire up that DAW, and get to work on the next Protocol masterpiece!
