Electric Zoo Mexico City Reveals Phase 1 Lineup
Three days in New York City must not of been enough for the folks at Electric Zoo, as the festival now expands south to México City on May 3 and May 4. Made Event, the company responsible for putting on the first five editions of the festival on Randall’s Island in Manhattan, was purchased by SFX Entertainment back in November 2013. Of course, the craziness of the festival will not be diminished one bit; the only thing different is the location. A total of 14 artists and four different stages have been revealed thus far in the Phase 1 lineup. The Mexico City edition of the festival will maintain the dual mainstage set up that Electric Zoo 5 had in NYC, while bringing in the classic Sunday School stage, alongside the Mountainview stage (on Saturday), and the OWSLA stage (on Sunday).
Day one is held down by four of the biggest names: Skrillex, Above & Beyond on the north mainstage, while Alesso, and Martin Solveig take over the southern side. Sasha and Lee Foss are the first two that have been announced for the Sunday School stage, while Aly & Fila are the first on the Mountainview stage.
Things get even more wild on day two, as the two mainstages are controlled by Hardwell and Knife Party on the North Side, and Dash Berlin and Martin Garrix on the South Side. Sunday School will feature Dubfire and Claude VonStroke, and Dillon Francis will be holding down the OWSLA stage.
