Mercer & DJ Snake – Lunatic [March 7 – Spinnin Records]

We know DJ Snake for the extremely popular “Turn Down For What,” but the Frenchman has also remixed the likes of Zedd and Duck Sauce. Mercer‘s “Turn It Up” and “Supreme” have also been extremely successful. It’s definitely an interesting collaboration, but it works out fantastically nonetheless.

The preview doesn’t show “Lunatic” to have a melody, it’s basically just one big buildup. The electro drop is basically an uplifter, but without the white noise. It has sort of a grinding sound to it, but it’s just got a weird, yet cool, sound to it. Of course, “Lunatic” wouldn’t be complete without a trap drop. You can definitely hear elements of both DJ Snake and Mercer‘s styles in “Lunatic” which is why it’s so great a collaboration.
