Shermanology & GRX – Can’t You See [March 3 – Spinnin’ Records]
One of the most talented groups in all of dance music has to be Shermanology. The combination of their incredible production skills with their consistent energy during live shows allows them to rank very high on my personal list. For the next release, they are working with someone who knows a lot about energy. They have linked up with Martin Garrix, who is releasing under his GRX alias, for “Can’t You See”. The check is been signed to Holland’s biggest label, Spinnin’ Records, and set for a release on March 3. Even though we are just under a month away from the actual release date, I can already foresee this song taking over festival grounds all over the world: especially since support has already come in from the number one DJ in the world: Hardwell.
Unfortunately, from the preview we were given, there is no main vocal in “Can’t You See”. However, the production quality on this track definitely makes up for it. The melody of this track is actually quite unique, since it uses the Sherman cousins instead of the usual synths we hear in dance music. The melody has an absolutely epic quality, and soon heads into the buildup. The buildup features some GRX hallmarks, and has the lead synth for the drop slowly making its way in from the background. The drop that follows is actually quite refreshing. The lead is quite dynamic, and sounds like a powerful electric guitar, while the bassline compliments perfectly. No one part is overwhelming, except for the sound as a whole got me dancing and embarrassing myself in front of my co-workers, but I have no shame whatsoever. “Can’t You See” is undoubtedly worth it.
You can grab this new, adrenaline-triggering hit from Shermanology and GRX in just a few weeks, since it drops via Spinnin’ Records on March 3. This is the kind of sound that is making a comeback, and that makes me as both a writer and a music lover incredibly happy. Enjoy this teaser!
