Showtek & Justin Prime ft. Matthew Koma – Cannonball (Earthquake) [Remixes] [February 10 – SPRS]
As the newly previewed “Earthquake” garners more and more plays worldwide, the kind folks over at SPRS have unveiled 6 big remixes for the vocal mix of “Cannonball”. The mixes have come in from Brooks, Kryder, Loopers, Lazy Rich, Yellow Claw, and M&F. All these remixes take the track in completely different directions, but have just as much firepower as the original as created by Showtek & Justin Prime. Of course, the work from vocalist Matthew Koma cannot be neglected, as he has revitalized this hit from 2013.
The remix from Brooks is an electro firestorm. Distorted vocals and a razor sharp saw drop highlight the power that this remix brings. Kryder works his progressive magic in his remix, which has been one of the more highly awaited remixes of the year. A light-hearted top line goes hand-in-hand with a traditional Kryder bassline throughout the climax of the remix. Loopers uses the break from the original, but diverging as the buildup gets underway. The drop is some heavy big-room that Loopers has perfected. Canadian Lazy Rich comes in with an orchestral break, and his own take on the melody. From there, he takes the track into the sliding electro sound that has made him famous over the years. Yellow Claw drops a trap version, featuring high-pitched vocals, and a loud 808 kick that will be ringing in our ears for days. Rounding out the remix package is M&F. Without a doubt, they have the most unique remix on the package, as they bring in the D&B sound to the remix package.
These remixes drop via SPRS on February 10. Which remix is your favorite? Let us know in the comment section below. Enjoy these teasers!
