Bassjackers – Crackin’ (Martin Garrix Edit) [Spinnin’ Records]
It always feels good when you get some help from a friend. In this case, this help got a track signed to the biggest dance music label in the world. The Bassjackers released the original mix of “Crackin'” back in early 2013 as a free download gift to their fans. This original mix acquired a laundry list of support from DJs everywhere. Now, “Crackin'” has made its comeback on Spinnin’ Records, thanks to Martin Garrix. You definitely recognize his name from tracks like “Animals” and “Wizard,” and his work on “Crackin'” has been tremendous. If you’re familiar with the Bassjackers‘ original mix, then you’re already familiar with the first drop. But from that point on, the sound is brand-new. Martin Garrix completely replaced the break with a powerful melody in his trademark energetic sound. Plus, the 17-year-old Dutchman completely revamped the second drop by adding some more forceful percussion and a more robust fill synth. The new Martin Garrix edit of this classic tune from Bassjackers is out now on Spinnin’ Records. Grab your copy from the Beatport link below, and enjoy!
