Various Artists – Musical Freedom Future Heroes EP [January 20 – Musical Freedom Records]
The dance music industry will always see new faces, and those new faces are being recognized now by Musical Freedom. Some of these names are brand new to the staff here, and some we have covered before. Without a doubt, they are all very capable artists who are deserving of this feature spot on the Musical Freedom imprint. The label has welcomed Hix, Jus Jack, Kaaze, and TV Noise as part of the first Future Heroes EP.
Hix provides the EP with “Alarma”. “Alarma” really is the perfect track to start off the EP. To me, the track has a combination of sounds between acid house and a little bit of Melbourne influence in the bassline. It has the unfortunate tendency to get repetitive, but is worth a listen none the less. Jus Jack‘s “Stars” goes in a more progressive direction, putting a strong melody and equally strong composition skills to good use. Kaaze provides the big-room, as the energy-filled melody he provides in the beginning gives way to a big, distorted kick will rock your subwoofer in “Drop the Power”. TV Noise gave the EP some old-school electro, combining a relatively bouncy bassline with some wild synths through their track, “Yamidoo”.
This EP shows how bright the future is for dance music, and will be released on January 20. Until then, enjoy these previews!
