Justin Prime & Sidney Samson – Thunderbolt [Spinnin’ Records]

There’s big-room, and now, there’s big-room 2.0, thanks to Justin Prime and Sidney Samson. I am not making a jab at how some songs sound too similar, but complimenting how these guys really took the sound to a brand new level with “Thunderbolt,” their newly released collaboration. They worked hard to create a unique sound, and it definitely has paid off. The song encompasses a level of effort that most big-room songs don’t have, and this is immediately evident in the first chord progression. Plus, the kick on this track is one of the most full sounding kicks I have heard in a while. According to Sidney Samson, “that’s Justin Prime‘s specialty”. Regardless of whose specialties are audible, this track really shows big-room has the ability to be different, and when it is, it can be a gamechanger for any DJ.
