Dyro – Black Smoke [January 27 – Revealed Recordings]
2013 was a huge year for Dyro; there is no other way to describe it. He found himself playing shows all over the world, and in the Beatport Overall #1 spot on multiple occasions. So the best way for him to start off 2014 was simple: release a big, new track. He experimented with big-room in the last quarter of 2013 with “Go Down,” but has left this style in the dust to return to his trademark sound. It first surfaced with “Leprechauns & Unicorns,” is back again on “Black Smoke”. “Black Smoke” will be released on Revealed Recordings on January 27.
Right from the start, you can tell that “Black Smoke” is all about energy. The melody in the break feels mysterious and syncopated, and uses a familiar piece of big-room percussion to play out the sound. As the track builds, a powerful and grinding synth makes its way out of the bassline and into the forefront. Soon, a familiar drum breakdown is matched with a quick vocal sample, and soon that wild and raw electro sound that brought Dyro to fame is in our faces once again.
“Black Smoke” will drop on January 27 via Revealed Recordings. Until then, enjoy!
