Mike Hawkins – Soldiers [February 3 – Doorn Records]

Mike Hawkins is quickly becoming one of the biggest names in the EDM scene. He is the co-founder of rising Megaton Records and is set to release his newest single “Soldiers” on Doorn Records. He already has records out on Megaton, Size and more and they’ve all been bangers, so it’s no surprise “Soldiers” is a massive tune.

The song features an interesting kick drum pattern over the drop. It’s something we haven’t seen yet in big room tracks. The drop also has sort of a Middle Eastern/Indian/ Ethnic sound to it, which is also very interesting. The melody is also great. It has a very intense and somewhat dark sound to it.
