Bassjackers – Crackin’ (Martin Garrix Edit) [January 20 – Spinnin’ Records]
Earlier in the year, the Bassjackers dropped “Crackin’,” a big-room track with a pounding basskick and a melody that, while minimal, fit the track perfectly. Like many others in 2013, this song has been selected by a certain producer to do some re-editing, and the track has now found itself a formal release. A good friend to the Bassjackers duo, young Dutch phenom Martin Garrix has done some extra work with the original, and has landed it a spot on Spinnin’ Records.
The melody in Garrix’s edit is completely revamped, while still maintaining the original key and percussion signature. It feels like a fresh new sound, but continues the club-ready atmosphere that the original encompassed. The buildup begins, and the track feels more intense than ever. That famous vocal sample cycles through, and an improved version of the drop plays out.
This big new edit comes to us on January 20. Until then, enjoy this short teaser!
