Calvin Harris feat. Example – We’ll Be Coming Back (Lush & Simon Bootleg)

It’s amazing how quickly a certain artist’s style can grow on you. You hear it once or twice, and suddenly you become obsessed with the way they put music together. I can safely say that Italian duo, Lush & Simon, has developed a progressive house sound that has taken over my ears in this very way. With highlights including “Adrenaline” on Revealed Recordings, and “City of Lights” on Trice Recordings, these two have really perfected a type of melodic progressive house that still satisfies even the most dedicated fan of electro. This time, the duo took on a classic hit from Calvin Harris, called “We’ll Be Coming Back”, and decided to give it to fans for free to celebrate Christmas.

While Example‘s vocals remain with their original power, they have a whole new atmosphere to them, thanks to the cascading melody composed by Lush & Simon. Soon these vocals fade away, and the buildup gets underway. A more subtle version of the melody is fit together with snares. What soon takes over the speakers is yet another example of how much these guys have progressed in 2013. They work their magic once more, bringing a whole new feeling to this tune.
