Paul From Bingo Players Passes Away After Battle With Cancer
It is with great sadness that we convey the news of Paul Bäumer‘s passing as a result of his battle with cancer. Paul was one of two in the energetic and prolific electro duo known as the Bingo Players, and is known for his part in hits like “Rattle” and “Out of My Mind”. Paul had announced to us earlier in the year that he was fighting cancer, and would continue to be involved with the Bingo Players project from his home in the Netherlands. There, he focused on other projects, like their Hysteria Records label, their radio show, and constant studio work. His partner, Maarten Hoogstraten, will continue working and producing under the Bingo Players‘ name.
The staff at Dance Rebels is well aware of the value that team members and partner possess, and are shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of Paul Bäumer. We send our prayers and condolences to Paul’s family, friends, and especially to Maarten, who was so invested and passionate in his work with Paul.
Paul, thank you for your music, your passion, and your courage until the end. You will be missed greatly by many, by those both inside and outside of the dance music scene.
