Dzeko & Torres – Highline [December 23 – Musical Freedom Records]
Canadian duo Dzeko & Torres are at it again, coming in with what might be their biggest release yet. Keeping in mind their recent of remix for Krewella, they now bring their talents to Tiësto‘s Musical Freedom Records with a crossover progressive/electro track known as “Highline”. These guys have been putting out a lot of great music in 2013, including “Down To This” with Chuckie, and my personal favorite, “Hurricane”. “Highline” follows some huge sounds on the Musical Freedom catalog, like “Big Bang” by twoloud, and “Out of Control” from the boss Tiësto and Alvaro.
Like I mentioned before, “Highline” is an explosive crossover between progressive house and electro house. If you listen to the melody, you can hear that these guys have developed a very progressive lead, paired with a grinding bassline underneath. This setup leads straight into a standard house build, comprised of snares and pitch bends layered onto the existing sound. The drop combines this progressive sound they love with a pounding big-room bottom line, one that is bound to take over the sound systems at clubs and festivals alike in 2014.
This main-room hit will drop as an early Christmas gift from Dzeko & Torres on December 23 via Musical Freedom Records. Enjoy this preview now, and put the full release on your list for Christmas!
