Linkin Park & Steve Aoki – A Light That Never Comes (Remixes) [Coming Soon – Warner Bros. Records]
The world-famous mega collaboration between American rock band Linkin Park with pioneer DJ/producer Steve Aoki is now getting the remix treatment from 2 of dance music’s hottest duos. “A Light That Never Comes” has a very strong sound in its own right, but now with remixes from Vicetone and twoloud, this tune sounds bigger and better than ever. Vicetone entered the DJ Mag Top 100 list at #60, while twoloud emerged from nowhere to instant stardom as a result of “Big Bang,” released recently on Musical Freedom.
Each track utilizes the original’s vocals, along with some elements of the melody. From here, each remix takes it’s own individual path. The Vicetone remix showcases their progressive house prowess with a beautiful sounding series of chords laid over a lighthearted bassline. The twoloud remix does not depart a single millimeter from their trademark banging style. It utilizes a big room kick to the max, high-octane festival-ready chords making up the top line of the drop. Linkin Park & Steve Aoki actually performed the song live on Jimmy Kimmel Live, and fans who used the Shazam mobile app were able to download the Vicetone remix for free.
These remixes are hot, so we’re hoping they drop soon on Warner Bros. Records. We will update this post is a release date as soon as we find one, but until then, enjoy these previews!
