twoloud – Traffic (Tiësto Edit) [December 16 – Musical Freedom Records]
It has been become incredibly popular to bring back the classics in dance music, and it would appear as though that trend will continue. This time, another Tiësto classic has been resurrected, this time by the mysterious group, twoloud. Last time, we heard “Flight 643” brought back to life by John Christian, and this time, it’s “Traffic”. twoloud completed this revival, and had it edited and ready for release courtesy of their label boss, Tiësto himself. The result, of course, is pretty overwhelming. The edit will drop on December 16 via Musical Freedom.
The classic melody of “Traffic” remains, but you can just hear from the difference in BPM that we’re dealing with a completely different beast. They maintain their usual epic sound, but are followed by a very different drop. The absence of a trance buildup signals that this song is destined for a dirty electro drop. The build ends, and we are left in suspenseful silence, until a “DROP IT” sample brings us into an absolutely banging trance-inspired electro drop that only twoloud and Tiësto could provide.
Get ready together this fantastic resurrection of “Traffic” when it hits Beatport on December 16. Until then, however, hold yourself over with this short teaser. Enjoy!
