Tom Demac, Will Samson – It Grows Again EP [Aus Music]
Tom Demac and Will Samson’s “It Grows Again EP” is one of my favorite releases to come out this month. Consisting of two main tracks, and 1 alternate version of each, the music leans more toward electronica than some of the other deep house releases recently.
Emphasizing a strong vocal melody coupled with a powerful kick & bass combination, “It Grows Again” is absolutely spectacular. It’s ambient at points, but can instantly kick into an intensity that you wouldn’t expect from the prior verse.
The second track, “Chasing Shadows”, is also a mellow track but emphasizes the use of synths and a more active bass-line than the former. Similar vocals are included in this one, but it also has some very interesting use of percussion. I like the attack of the chords during the breakdown and how it slowly feeds back as it’s held.
I absolutely loved this release so give it a listen.
