Showtek ft. We Are Loud & Sonny Wilson – Booyah (Cash Cash Remix) [November 8 – Spinnin’ Records]
What do you get when you take an absolute banging track and completely flip it with a remix? One of two options often comes as a result: it’s either a complete flop, or an incredible success. Fortunately, we have the latter with regards to the newly previewed Cash Cash remix of Showtek‘s hit “Booyah“. The original peaked at #2 on the Beatport Top 100 chart, and has received over 240 plays from DJs all over the world, big and small. The guys from Cash Cash keep the original melody and vocals, but still giving the track a new drop that is crazy and full of heavy bass. Plus, they take this track across the lines of genres just like the original did.
The first verse is laid over a simple bed of percussion until the chorus finishes. At this point, the original cords pop in and raise the energy level of the track as it heads towards its first drop. The first drop to this track is absolutely massive. It is big-room at its finest: with a big huge bass kick working in tandem with the plucking sound that never gets old. As the drop progresses, the synth is refined into a more subtle feel, but just as banging. At the point in the track where it dove into a drum ‘n’ bass section in the original, the track slows down instead of speeding up. The usual vocals cry out over a slower, clearly reggae influenced section. After the last “BOOYAH!” sample, we get a huge unexpected surprise. The second drop is pure moombahton, and will definitely get you moving out of your chair you first hear it. The Cash Cash guys modify the sound of the track to perfection, and produce an absolutely astounding remix as a result.
This remix drops on Spinnin’ Records along with the Lucky Date remix on November 8. Enjoy the full stream though, this tune is a heavy-hitter, and will be tough to wait for. Enjoy it!
