Arty – Flashback [November 18 – Anjunabeats]

There is something about Arty‘s sound that makes it sound superior to that of his progressive house competitors. The Russian star is known for this light-hearted progressive house/trance productions, and is regarded highly for his tracks and his highly energetic DJ sets. Arty makes his return to the Anjunabeats imprint with “Flashback,” which serves as his follow up to “Open Space,” released in June 2012.

One of my favorite aspects of Arty‘s music is how he seems to have a never-ending wealth of melodies in his mind. He uses one of those melodies here, and it sets the tone of the track. Like any track of his, the mood is light, and incredibly uplifting. He creates this vibe through playful synths, and carefully planned composition. The drop in this track is phenomenal, combining the sound of the melody with the perfect complementary bassline, which provides a welcome change of pace from mainstream house music now.
