Martin Garrix & Jay Hardway – Wizard [EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW]
Oh my, do we have a treat for you! Just minutes after accepting the #1 spot on the DJ Mag Top 100 list for 2013, Hardwell took to the decks at the main stage of the Amsterdam Music Festival to play yet another crazy DJ set, just like those that won him his spot. He started his set off of his collaboration with Dyro and Bright Lights, “Never Say Goodbye,” and then moved into a brand-new track that few of us have ever heard before. The artists responsible for this crazy track are none other than teenage sensations, Martin Garrix and Jay Hardway, the same artists responsible for “Error 404”. We now know that this track is titled “Wizard,” and will be released on Spinnin’ Records soon.
The track begins with a wild melody, which becomes even more crazy when more and more synths are layered onto it. The melody is incredibly well-thought-out, with strategically placed pitch bends and strong use of percussion and white noise. But once the track begins to build, you can tell it means business. A few simple snare hits, and a loud “DROP” sample lead into a drop filled with a blasting bass kick, and the “Animals” sounding arps that brought Garrix to fame.
Really great to see these two future stars working together on such a strong track. We have absolutely no info on this track yet, but I’m sure we’ll get some soon. This track is HUGE, so expect it at every big festival you attend.
He already played this track at passenger terminal!!!
