Looking Back At ADE – Day Three: Hardwell Presents Revealed
Past Sunday the Dutch madness called Amsterdam Dance Event ended the last day of this year. After five days of big events, important conferences and a lot of meetings, it’s time to recover and look back at the ADE. We visited several events on 4 of the 5 days and will provide a recap on every day. Starting today with the third day of ADE, Friday October 18. We attended Hardwell Presents Revealed and prepared ourselves for quite a night.

Location
The Passenger Terminal in Amsterdam was new to us. It’s a place for all kind of events. Conferences, party’s and many more can be done in the mainly glass-structured location. The three levels in PTA can be used independently of one another, but can also be used in conjunction. These levels are the Main Deck, the Promenade Deck and the Panorama Deck. Did the location add something to the event? We can say yes without a single doubt. The main hall was big enough for the sold out event and the higher levels gave a good view on the dancefloor. It was perfect to relax a little there after hours of partying. We would definitely visit more events in the PTA!
Line Up
Most of the talents and big names in the Revealed family showed up for this special event, that definitely had the feeling of a festival. Dutch producer Kill The Buzz opened the night for Revealed and did this with style. After he was finished, Dannic stood up for a killing set, like we’re used to from this huge talented producer. Then it was time for the big boss himself, the new number 1 dj Hardwell went for a 2,5 hour set and played many exclusive tunes. Think of a new Julian Calor track and a new Hardwell production, together with Matthew Koma! He destroyed the dancefloor when he finished and W&W gladly took this opportunity to provide the visitors with some high class music, including their big collab with Hardwell. Last but not least, the highest entry in the DJ Mag Top 100, Dyro. He didn’t slow it down for his set at all and played hard hitting bangers right until the last second.
Organisation
Such a big location as the PTA, must be hard to control. They however managed to organize everything in the right way and made sure everyone had a good time. With bars at the end of the main floor, there was always a possibility to get a refreshment. The higher decks were mainly reserved for special guests, but there was still more than enough space for everyone to go out of their mind. Just like the day before, Thursday, we saw zero incidents and there was enough security, even though it wasn’t that necessary luckily.
Audience
One of the most important keys to a successful nights is the audience. Are they willing to party, is the atmosphere positive, are they having a good time? All important questions that could be answered with a big YES for this event. With the dj’s dropping so many insane tunes, the crowd could only go absolutely mad on the music and there was no reason to get aggressive or so. The crowd was almost un-Dutch, dancing like it was their last day on earth. Strangely, Dannic & Hardwell always manage to create such an atmosphere and today was definitely no exception.
Conclusion
When we take a look at all our points, we can definitely say that this night was more than successful. The Passenger provided us a very nice and new location, the lineup gave us goosebumps and all the dj’s made the crowd lose their mind, the organisation brought us a well organised event with absolutely zero problems at all, the audience went bananas and had a good time from the first second. When this event should be rated with stars, it would definitely deserve 4.5 out of 5, because even though it can’t be that everything goes perfect, it came very close!
