Andybody – Sometimes I Even Amaze Myself [November 5 – So Much Dada]
I wish I could say I knew more about the artist responsible for this track. Andybody remains one of the most mysterious entities in dance music. All we know is that they are the first non-Dada Life producers to release on the So Much Dada imprint. They’ve come back with their follow to “The First Bass Is The Deepest” with a similarly banging “Sometimes I Even Amaze Myself”. They have even taken the step in marking this as their first official “original mix,” as their debut track was edited slightly by the Dada Life guys before it was released to the world.
The melody is a simple high-pitched synth, which works its magic over a series of snare hits. The snare hits move closer and closer to each other, and the track seems to be headed to climax. But then, it goes quiet and white noise filters down the sound. That’s when the song’s title comes into play: a “Sometimes I Even Amaze Myself… BITCH” sample goes right before the drop. This track’s drop is definitely a throwback in terms of its electro house sound. It’s percussion is simple, but the synth play is quite complex, harkening back to the times where producers focused more on making wobbles than crafting the fattest big-room kick. You’ll definitely hear what I mean in the preview below.
This track looks to be a strong sophomore release for Andybody, who do all things by the Rules of Dada. This track will drop on November 5, so be sure not to miss it. Crank up this preview, this track doesn’t only amaze them, it’ll amaze you too!
I love it.
Who the fuck are Andybody? Jesus christ this is insane.
