3LAU & Paris & Simo feat. Bright Lights – Escape (Landis Remix)

While unsuccessful in the official remix contest for “Escape,” Landis decided to drop his entry as a free download to celebrate 1,000 likes on Facebook. He’s no stranger to big releases, as he has been a part of Revealed Recordings, and most recently, Cr2 Records. Plus, he’s got a release upcoming on Megaton Records, which is set to drop on October 24.

Landis uses the stems provided by the Beatport Play project, but takes the whole track in a completely different direction. He takes it to a different key, and creates his own melody from scratch. The vocals still fit the track perfectly, which is a testament to how strong this production is as a whole. The drop is a powerful progressive sequence, which is definitely a competitor to the original. It has it’s own unique sound, and that is what is most important in a remix.
