Promise Land – Bad DJ [November 11 – Size Records]

The dance music industry often seems to be cyclical to me. Eat, sleep, rave, repeat; produce, DJ, airplane, repeat; the whole thing never stops because the fans never stop craving new music. Fans of Italian DJ/producer group Promise Land will be happy to know that their guys are not resting. Just hours after releasing their collaboration with 14-year-old Italian phenom,  Junior Black, they posted a preview to the next release, which will come next month on Size Records. The track received its first official radioplay last weekend, as part of Danny Howard‘s Dance Anthems show on BBC Radio 1.

The title here is actually quite ironic, since the guys from Promise Land have been on their grind recently. The preview goes straight into the heavy stuff, right after a “bad DJ on two turntables” sample. The drop has a hardcore grinding sound to it, and has a pounding bassline to match. These guys have worked so hard to refine their sound, and I feel as though they definitely deserve their release slot on Size Records.

“Bad DJ” will hit the Beatport music store on November 11 via Size Records. This track will also get a lot of plays from fellow DJ’s, so keep your ears open as well. For now, crank it up!
