Icona Pop – Girlfriend – Muzzaik & Stadiumx + The Chainsmokers Remix [Big Beat Records]

On the 4th of June in 2013, Icona Pop came with their single ‘Girlfriend’. It interpolated the lyrics from Tupac Shakur’s ‘Me and My Girlfriend’ and it confused me a bit, because I felt like I heard it before. The track got picked up by the radio stations quite well, but could use a new fresh EDM-coat. Muzzaik + Stadiumx & The Chainsmokers took care of that with their remixes, released today via Big Beat Records.

Stadiumx is a new duo from Hungary and their first release is immediately a big one, since they collaborated with Muzzaik on this remix. They definitely gave a booming twist to the track, that contains big powerful chords and a stunning climax, full of energy. The Chainsmokers are the men behind the Indie Progressive House and slowly created more and more buzz around themselves. For this remix they however went for a more powerful approach, with a killing Electro House drop. It’s full of melodies and can definitely be called huge!
