Dyro – Go Down [October 21 | Revealed Recordings]
It was a lucky night for us fans of Hardwell‘s weekly radio show, Hardwell On Air. While it was filled with its normal bounty of huge tunes, listeners were treated to not one, but two Hardwell Exclusives in this week’s episode (Episode 137). The first was a fresh collaboration between two Dutch artists: Dannic and Sick Individuals, titled “Blueprint”. The second, of course comes from another incredibly talented Dutchman: Dyro. The man behind “Leprechauns & Unicorns” makes another appearance on Revealed with “Go Down”.
While we are used to a more full-bodied electro sound from Dyro, we are introduced to his big-room side with “Go Down”. The intro synth is razor-sharp, and pounds out a simple but powerful melody. The track quickly builds up with synths, and looped vocals saying “go down” over and over. A little percussive breakdown and a final vocal saying “Oh, shit’s about to go down” introduces that famous big Dyro kick, and a new Showtek-sounding drop style. (If you listen closely to the pre-drop vocals; it sounds like Hardwell provided the vocal samples for this track.)
Even though there is plethora of artists who produce big-room tracks, we’re glad to see Dyro branch out to a different sound than we’re used to from him. “Go Down” will be released on October 21 via Revealed Recordings. For now, though, turn this up, because “shit’s about to go down”!
