Tiësto – Lethal Industry – Disfunktion Bootleg
I wonder if Tiësto knew he was making a classic when he first composed the world-famous chords for “Lethal Industry”. Since its first release in 1999, the track has received countless remixes and reworks over the past 14 years, and we got another one to present to you today. Just a few hours ago, we shared the newest track from Dutch progressive house duo, Disfunktion; a collaboration with Kid Massive titled “Amrock”. Now, we have the guys’ most recent solo work: a bootleg for Tiësto‘s perennial classic, “Lethal Industry”.
The guys’ name has the word “funk” in it, see you can definitely guess where this bootleg is headed. Once the intro has concluded, the countdown to that instantly-recognizable melody begins. The Disfunktion guys begin to build the track up at around 1:30, and suddenly the track breaks into silence and white noise for a few beats. Fifteen seconds of the same rhythm come back, but then the madness finally begins. At 2:00, the chord play really begins. One of the most famous and recognizable melodies plays out in its entirety, before breaking into silence and white noise like before. The guys then added brand-new melody, made out of a synth that has a very acid/303 feel to it. Just 30 seconds later, the track drops into a powerful funky house sequence that is sure to get people onto the dancefloor in any venue.
