Tom Staar “Trident” Coming October 14 on Staar Traxx
London native Tom Staar has been one of the greatest creative minds in dance music. No two tracks from the man in the helmet sound alike, and he is constantly working to keep his sound fresh. Whether in solo tracks like “Cheyenne,” remixes for Dirty South‘s “Until the End,” or collaborations with the likes of Style of Eye “After Dark,” you can never predict how Tom will compose his next tune. He activates his own label Staar Traxx for the release of his latest solo work, “Trident,” after his most recent tracks saw releases on Wall Recordings and Mixmash Records.
The melody begins with a piano, with a subtle bed of white noise underneath. As the melody progresses, the melody becomes more and more dynamic with the addition of a set of calm synths. Instead of building the track in the usual way that most producers do, Staar chooses not to use the traditional snare roll sequence, but rather a mellow sequence with no percussion whatsoever. Tom Staar then completes the tune with a beautiful progressive drop sequence that really brings the melody to life.
Staar will release “Trident” on October 14 on his own Staar Traxx label. Be sure to check out the preview, and mark that date on your calendar!
